Woodbury Relay's

On saturday April 18th East competed in the 37th annual Woodbury Relays. The same Relay's where in 1987 the old school record for the DMR was set. This year the DMR team of Nate Burt, Alex Reber, Craig Fishbein, and Dave Berger broke that school reocrd by 4 secods running a time of 10:39.1. Nate got things started with a great opening leg in the 1200 where he split 3:14 and handed off in in 2nd. Next up was Freshmen Alex Reber who split a 51.3 to grab the lead. In the 800 leg Craig split 2:07 and held on to a very slim lead. On the anchor leg Dave Berger split 4:26 but was out kicked in the final 200 meters and finshed 2nd to Oakcrest in the Group 4 race. Overall on the day east had the 3rd fastest DMR time and also posted the 7th fastest DMR time in the State so far this Outdoor season. In the 4x800 Chris Dinh ran the opening leg with a split of 2:08, but there was a mix up with the hand off to Josh Elkan which coast him a second or two. Josh Elkan than handed off to Scott Zhao, both split about 2:13. On the Anchor leg John Arnold split 2:10 which led east to a final time of 8:46. Also Tony Chen represented the distance team in the SMR by running the 800 leg in a time of 2:07.
