Cherokee/Pennsauken Tri-meet

Today, the East Distance team hosted a meet against Cherokee and Pennsauken. Due to the fact that it was a tri-meet, Coach Maniscalco decided to only race 5 runners in each race. In the 1600, Senior Nate Burt ('09) came in 2nd place, and Sophomores Tony Chen ('11), who ran 4:46, and Damon Glatz ('11) followed in 4th and 6th place. In addition, freshman DJ Rodriguez ('12) PR'ed, running 5 minutes flat. In the 800, Dave Berger ('09) won the 800 in 2 minutes, closing in 57 seconds, and Craig Fishbein ('09) placed 3rd in 2:05. Also, all three sophomores PR'ed. Josh Elkan ('11) ran 2:11, Andrew Berger ('11) 2:13, Steve Omari ('11) 2:13. Lastly, in the 3200, Chris Dinh ('10) placed 3rd with the time of 10:11 and Mike Liachowitz ('10) ran 10:51, which is the first time he has ran under 11:00.

Congrats to all who have done well. If you're not satisfyed with your performance, just forget it. Our next meet is the Woodbury Relays on the 18th. After that, we have another dual meet against Eastern at Eastern High School. As always, keep running.
