Yesterday, with the exception of Scott Zhao, all the Freshmen and Sophomores raced in the Frosh/Soph South Jersey Championship. In the Freshmen race Adam Rosenthal lead the way for East finishing in 15th place and covering the 2.3 mile course in a time of 14:07. Also coming away with medals were Zackary Ianearelli in 20th, Daniel Rodriguez in 21st, Russell Beatty in 31st and Tyler Russ in 45th.
In the Sophomore race Damon Glatz ran 18:02 on the C course and finished in 5th place. Next to cross the line for east was Tony Chen in 10th, Josh Elkin in 13th, and Andrew Berger in 16th with times of 18:19, 18:33, and 18:47. Also earning medals was Dan Descroschers in 33rd, Frank Zhang in 38th, and Shyam Bhardawj in 50th. If you were to team score this race(which they didn't) East would have finished 2nd to Lenape with a 5 man average of 18:34.
Next race is Friday the 24th, also on the C course at GCC, is the Olympic Conference meet. As always, keep running...
