Ultimate Frisbee Game

On Monday, the east distance team traveled to the Decou fields for what shaped up to be a Ultimate Frisbee for the record books. Zach Iannarelli was still looking for his first win in postseason activities this year. The game starts, and right away Zachs team grabs an early 3-0 lead. He was throwing touchdown passes left and right the entire game. On the other team, DJ Rodriguez and Russell Beatty were bombing passes down the field all game.

By halftime, it was 12-11, in favor of team DJ and Russell, which was a bit dissapointing because at one point, they were up 12-8. They needed to figure out how to stop the other team.

As play resumes, Ben Dillon ends up with a great touchdown reception after a great drive. Then, the other team went on a scoring frenzy with key receptions by Kevin Walder, Mike Minion, Adam Green and Ben Helfand. It was 18-17 in favor of team Zach, and the game was being played to first one to 21, must win by 2. so after various interceptions, Matt Burt finds the endzone tieing the game. The other team answers quickly and taking the lead back. Then a drive full of short throws, and a great catch by Ricky Zhao, thrown by Russell Beatty, tied the game back up.

After the throw off, team DJ and Russell quickly intercept it and DJ throws a long pass to Tyler Russ who finds Matt Burt in the endzone! Its 20-19 now.

After the throw off and a quick series, team DJ and Russell re-gain the frisbee. After Driving up field, the frisbee is thrown into the endzone for none other then Ben Dillon who grabs it for the Victory!!!!!

Wednesday will be our final ccfl game. It is our 4th annual day before Thanksgiving football game. Right after the pep rally assembly at school, meet at the locker rooms. This game is open for Alumni. ALSO, Aaron Zucker will be collecting banquet money if it applys to you.
