Let's see. Last weekend was MLK weekend and there was a huge saus that went on. Later in the weekend I went to Dick's and bought women's running shorts. I'm now convinced they are the key to running a successful quarter workout (Wednesday in Fox Hollow)...and getting a nosebleed (Friday Dog Park).
This week training went pretty well. We looked like a "completely different team" during the quarters, so let's keep up the positivity!!!
Saturday morning, the boys went up to Tom's River for the Olympic Conference meet. In the girls 1600, Danielle Impagliazz"i", Taylor Festa, and Sarah Riches ran 6:12, 6:16, and 6:44, respectively. No doubt it was a "stimulating" race.
On the male side, Ben Dillon ran a 5:07 and Jared Deshevsky ran a 5:21. M. Cox of Lenape ran a 5:03. Thanks for beating me by 60 spots at Conference in XC.
In the girls 400, Andrea Leff ran 1:11.76 to win her heat. She may be Leff, but she ran the race right! On the flip side, "Bennie" Aningalan ran a 60. Love Benson. Bradford Krell dropped a 52.36 with my homeboy Joey P. not far behind.
In the girls 8, 9s Orwitz and Fangel Tung ran 2:59.8 and 3:01.14. That averages 3:00 or something. AllyBear won her heat in 2:40. That's pretty fast during hibernation season. On the mens side, Chrissy Face won his heat in 2:22.63. Marcus Phillips came in 2:02.02 and second overall.
In his first race of the track season, ShogunDamon dropped a 10:44 in the deuce. Mike Bruce ran an 11:05.
Next Friday, our 4x400 team will compete in the MILLROSE GAMES. Vbd.
On Monday, most of the guys take their first trip up to the Armory this season, and can only be phrased in one way:
The Resurgence of Robert Cooper
Keep on runnin'...
