Hey guys.
On Saturday, East went up to Holmdel park to compete in shore coachs. While the JV bus was busy getting lost, the gun went off for Varsity. Damon Glatz had a great race and ran 17:10 for 26th place. Close behind was Zach Ianarelli with a hug holmdel PR of 17:15. Both Damon and Zach recieved placks. Roundings out the scoring were Steve, DJ, and Scott who ran 17:30, 17:58, and 18:14 respectivly.
Next, our freshman competed. Ben Dillon was the first freshman in over 2 years to medal, running a solid race of 12:45. Arizona managed to keep both shoes on and ran 16:22. IN 69TH PLACE, J.F.K (John Warkala) ran a solid race of 13:32.
In the last race of the day, East's JV team competed, finishing 3rd overall. Junior Chelsea Ley (Russell Beatty) ran 17:43 for 6th place, and Ricky Mao Zedong Stonecold Zhao ran 17:46 for 8th place. Junior Tyler Russ ran a solid race of 18:17 for 21st place. Adam Rosenthal came back from 2 years off and ran a great race of 18:58. Both having good races, Jack Fiedler and Shaun Taylor ran 20:10 and 20:17 respectivly. Walter ran a huge Holmdel PR of 22:37, improving over a minute and 15 places from last year.
East took home a large stack of medals, 7 to be exact.
Good luck to all racing on wednesday and
As always,
keep on running.
