Yesterday, the East boys traveled to Holmdel Park to compete in the New Jersey State Meet. With 13 of the top 18 ranked teams in New Jersey, making it the deepest state race ever, East finished an overall 12th place. Steve Omari led the team with a 35 second Holmdel PR to finish 48th place in 17:12. Scott Zhao also ran very well, setting a new Holmdel PR by 55 seconds, to run 17:19 for 57th place. Chris Dinh, Damon Glatz, and Zach Ianarelli closed out the scoring with new course PRs of 17:22, 17:28, and 17:54. East averaged 17:27, the fourth fastest among South Jersey teams.
