Olympic Conference

Last Friday, the Olympic Conference Championships were held on GCC "C" Course. To start off the day, the JV team took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th, winning the JV race by a large margin as a team. The squad was led by Zach Ianarelli running 17:35, followed by DJ Rodriguez (2nd - 17:37), Russell Beatty (3rd - 17:53), and Frank Zhang (6th - 17:57). Other PRs include Sean Lowen's 19:01, Brad Krell's 19:11, and Robbie Cooper's 20:44.

In the Varsity race, Steve Omari raced extremely well to place 13th in 16:57 and make All Conference. Congrats to Steve who has improved tremendously since last year, where he placed 64th in the JV race. Also running C Course PRs were Damon Glatz (23rd - 17:21), Chris Dinh (24th - 17:22), and Scott Zhao (26th - 17:25). Great race to Scott, who stepped up for the team in his first race back this season. Overall, the Varsity team placed sixth with an average time of 17:24.

In the Freshmen race, Mike Minion took first place, tying his PR by running 18:46, followed by Michael Wang in second with a 19:13. New PRs were also set by Jack Fiedler (19:31), Sean Taylor (20:49), and Corey Ansell (22:08).
