Olympic Conference Championships

Yesterday the East athletes that qualified for the Olympic Conference meet made their way to Pennsauken for the 50th annual Conference Championships. It was a nice day considering it was at Pennsauken, but still a little breezy on the home straight. In the 1600 Dave Berger and Nate Burt went out in 2:08, the fastest so far this season, and both finshed in PRs. Dave Berger finished first closing in under 60 seconds in the last lap to run a 9 second PR of 4:16.00 and earned 1st team all conference honors. Nate Burt ran a extremely tough race and held on to 4th place and also earned 2nd team all conference honors and a one seconds PR of 4:27.3. In the 3200 East had 4 athletes qualify who all finished within 4 seconds of each other. John Arnold lead the group in with a 7th place finish followed by Scott Zhao in 8th, Damon Glatz in 9th, and Chris Dinh in 10th. Next big race will be sectionals on Friday May 22nd and Saturday May 23.

As the season rapidly comes to a close everyone should be looking to run some great races.
Up next is Eastern at Eastern tomorrow.
As always keep running...
