Haddonfield Distance Night

For most people tonight concluded the 2009 East track season, for others it was just a stepping stone to sectionals, states and Meet of Champs. With the exception of the freshmen, who competed in the Indian Frosh Finale at Pennsauken, the Distance team comepeted in Haddonfield Distance Night on what was a beautiful night for racing. In the 800 Josh Elkan tied his PR of 2:11 and placed 2nd in his heat. In the fast heat Dave Berger took 1st with a one second PR of 1:57.13. In the 1600 Steve Omari took 3rd place in his heat with a 3 second PR with a time of 4:43. Also in that heat Andrew Berger ran a 4 second PR to run a time of 4:49 and coming back from sickness and injuries senior Kevin Lanni tied his PR to cap off his senior track season. In the fast heat Nate Burt ran another huge negative split closing his last 800 in 2:09 on his way to a 1st place finish with a time of 4:31. Last up was the 3200 where both Chirs Dinh and Scott Zhao earned medal's placing 3rd and 5th. Over at Pennsauken DJ Rodriguez ran a 3 second PR to take 6th place to earn a medal and a time of 4:57.

There will be practice tomorrow for everyone, even if your not competeing in Sectionals.
As always, keep running...
