Today, the East Cross Country Team went to GCC for their first Dual Meet against Courier Post's ranked #2 Cherokee and #4 Washington Township. As the underdogs (ranked #15), the XC team was beat by Cherokee 20-42, but managed to beat Washington Township 27-28. Our runners turned heads as Dave Berger ('09) finished first in 16:13, which is a 48 second PR. Also, John Arnold ('09) ran 16:58, an amazing PR. In addition, the underclassmen really turned out to do great. Scott Zhao ('11) got fourth on the team with a time of 17:33. Also, Josh Elkan ('11) had a 57 second PR and Damon Glatz ('11) had a 39 second PR. Lastly for the Sophmores, Andrew Berger ('11) had a 1 minute and 12 second PR with the time of 18:39. As for the freshman, leading the Class of 2012 was Adam Rosenthal ('12) with 19:42. The other 3 Freshmen under 21 mintues were Dan "DJ" Rodriguez, Russel Beatty, and Rob Cooper.
