Olympic Conference Championships

RESULTS

Yesterday both teams participated in the Olympic Conference Championships at Gloucester County College. The JV race started the day off, where both teams did well, with many runners setting PR's. Next up was the Boys Varsity race, where Mike Levin took 5th in 16:28 (PR), followed by Dave Berger 17:08 (PR). Overall, they finished in 5th place as a team, finally avenging their dual meet loss to Cherry Hill West. The 5th place finish bodes well for Sectionals next week, where the top 5 teams advance to the Group IV State Meet. In the girls varsity race, Theresa Cattuna placed first in 18:11, a PR and a course record on the "C" course at GCC. Alaina Chodoff followed closely behind in 4th place. Both girls made First Team All Conference. In the Freshman race, Matt Nemeroff edged Nate Mulberg for first. Natalie Kuza finished first for the girls in the Freshman race. Overall, it was a great day, and hopefully everyone can keep getting better for Sectionals, which are next Saturday at Delsea. As always, keep on running.
