On Tuesday we will leave for Runningworks Cross Country camp for a week of quality training to complement what we have already done this summer. We will meet at East at 8am to get ready to leave. Here is some information regarding what to expect at camp, if this is your first year going:
TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE:
6:30am Wake Up
7:30am Morning Run
8:30am Breakfast
11:00am Inter-active Lecture/Skills
12:00pm Lunch
1:15pm Pool/Recreation
3:00pm Afternoon Run
4:00pm Pool/Recreation
6:00pm Dinner
7:00pm Group Organized Games
8:00pm Guest Speaker
9:00pm Snack Bar/Movies
10:00pm Lights Out
On the last night of camp there will be an Athlete's Social/Dance, complete with D.J. and Special Guests!
Note: with the exception of the first and last days, all other days will have two runs!
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP:
2 pairs of running shoes (no racing shoes!)
Running shorts/socks/tops for the week
Slacks, shorts, shirts for the week
Underwear, socks for the week
Jacket, sweater, rainwear
Sheets & blankets, or sleeping bag
Pillow & pillow case
Towels/face cloth
Bathing Suit
sandals/flip-flops for shower/pool
Toiletries
Insect Repellent
Small Fan recommended
Flashlight with extra batteries.
NO LAUNDRY FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE.
