As some of you may know, longtime team member Andrew Baeckstrom has been in the hospital for a while dealing with complications from a surgery on his legs over break. These past few weeks have been frusturating for him to say the least, and while some people are already planning lawsuits against the doctors (Moose), the rest of us can help simply by showing him that we wish him well. You can read all about his trouble in the past couple weeks on his blog. Especially note this post, in which he thanks the members of the team who traveled to his house and signed his driveway with sidewalk chalk during their run.

I can't wait to run again. My teamates have been great from calling me at the hospital or at my house to visitng and bringing cards and food. The coaches have been great, too. Usually, they are kinda lukewarm when anyone comes to them with an injury since they don't want to coddle us, but I think the coaches know that this time I'm not trying to get out of a workout.
