On Monday the Freshman and Sophmores on the team competed in the South Jersey Frosh-Soph Championships. The results were very impressive! From what we have heard so far, Dave Berger took second in the boys Freshman 2.3-mile race, with Craig Fishbine and Eric Shin also medaling. In the boys sophmore race, Joel Burt took 5th with a time of 17:48, with Max Cohler in 18th with a time of 18:33, Danny Fuentes in 28th with a time of 18:57, Jason Klein in 46th with a time of 20:02, and I'm not sure how Tim Dinh ran.
The Girls also had a very successful day, with EVERY SINGLE ONE of the girls taking home medals. Highlights include Jen Shrank's 4th place finish in the sophmore race and Chelsea Palazzo's 7th place finish.
Our success at this meet without a doubt shows not only the depth of both teams but also the abundance of young talent on the team. Congratulations to everyone who ran.

Meanwhile, there still are juniors and seniors left on the team, who the day after the meet had to tackle the "Secret Weapon" one last time, but this time in sub-50 degree and rainy weather. The results were still impressive though, with Mike Levin averaging 2:30 for 5 800s, and Brandon, Pete, Steve, Jarrett, Pascal, and Alex averaging 2:40. Friday is the Olympic Conference Meet, which is the last major meet before the Sectional Meet in 2 weeks. Keep on running.
