Week in Review [July 25-30]

Sorry for not posting in awhile, I've been busy with other stuff. This week the girls are off to camp at East Stroudsburg University. There is a 3k time trial (maybe) this Friday at the park in Woodcrest. Below you can find an overview for the week. Also stay tuned for an announcement regarding captains, which will happen either this week or next. Finally, keep your eyes and ears open for the next movie from famed MAD BC Productions, coming to a DVD player near you Fall 2005.

This week started off well with a 5.7 mile run in my neighborhood. At practice Monday we did Longstone Loop (4.8 miles) in 30m 43s. Tuesday everyone else did a time trial in Fox Hollow Woods, at ~6 minute mile pace. I came late and did Bunker Hill (5.5 miles) thinking thats where the team would be. Wrong. Wednesday we were supposed to do a long run, but it was hot as hell and did some weird loop in Wexford for 6.2 miles. Berger kept up and he is doing pretty well for a freshman. Thursday the Deppa's came back form Oregon, and Brian went all out like normal. At first I was going to keep up and put him in his place, but he started trying to race, and we ended up running under 7 min pace for the whole run. Asshole. Friday we ran 8, doing Barnes and Noble with Harrowgate and an extra loop in Fox Hollow Woods. It took 58:30, which was a pretty good pace (7:19 mile). Berger kept up again, and Adler fell off like usual towards the end. This week (beginning July 31) we are supposed to get up to 40-45 miles I think. We are doing pretty well so far, and hopefully we will race well this year. Camp is in a little over 2 weeks (August 16-21), and we have a few time trials/races coming up soon too. Keep on running. -Mike
