SJ Open & Relays

Hey boys

Last weekend the distance team competed in both the SJ Open and the SJ Relays. In the open 1600, Ben "Hick" Dillon had a huge day, running a PR of 4:37 for 15th place. Dan Helfand also had a great race, running 4:46.  Jeff Braun also PR'd, running 5:07.

In the 3200, Mike Minion had a great race, almost breaking 10 with a 16th place finish of 10:02. Russell Beatty and Jared Dashevsky also ran PR's, running 10:14 and 10:25 respectively.

At the SJ Relays, the Varsity 4x1600 ran a time 19:19, averaging just under 4:50s. They did not split this race by division, so they did not get medals. damn shame. However, the Varisty DMR did medal, claiming first place. Ben Dillon played a key role, taking the 1200 out in around 3:22.

The end of the season is upon us, make sure you accomplish your goals.
