What's up everyone.
Over the past couple weeks East has had its first two dual meets, Pennsauken and Washington Township. So far we are 2-0 and have a good chance of winning the conference. Everyone should keep that in mind as we approach the last couple dual meets.
In the 1600 at Pennsauken, sophomore Ben Dillon ran around 4:42 for second place scoring 3 points. Also in the 16 was Ricky Zhao who ran 4:55. In the 800, Joe Pellogrino and Jared Dashevsky ran 2:08 and 2:09 respectively. Since Pennsauken didn't race anyone in the 32, our guys just did a workout. However, Mike Bruce did set a nice PR of 10:48, breaking 11 for the first time.
The Washington Township meet was a bit more interesting. The meet came down to the high jump, where Kyle took 2nd place for the win.
In the 1600, Joe Andalora had a very impressive race, running 4:47. Ben Helfand also had a nice race, crossing the line around 4:52. Blaker and Lokesh also set PR's.
In the 3200, Ben Dillon had the most exciting performance of the day. Allegedly "shoving" an opponent, Ben finished in second place with a time of 10:15. Go cry about it Township. Ricky Zhao ran around 10:30, and Mike Minion (who apparently got disqualified for running out of bounds haha) ran 10:45ish.
Keep on running boys.
