Winter Track Races

On Wednesday, most of the track team went over to Haddonfield for a scrimmage. Chris Arnold ran well in the 800 with a time of 2:16. In the 1600, Ben Helfand had a solid performance with a time of 4:51 and winning the race. Jack Fiedler finished strong to run a 5:18. Two Freshman standout performances were made by Dor Tillenger and Jeff Braun who battled each other the entire race and ended up finishing side by side running 5:47's, big pr's for the both of them.

On Friday, a small group of distance runners went to the bubble for the group 4 relay championships. Our "young" dmr had a very solid performance with Jared Deshevsky leading off with a 3:29 in the 1200, Freshman Dan Helfand had ran a solid 2:25 in the 800, which is respectable for being his first 800 ever, and Ben Dillon who picked up a lot of ground running a 4:44.

There will be no practice Monday because we are off for Martin Luther Kings day. If you have not thought about your goals yet for end of winter/spring track, now is a good time to. But remember, those goals are only going to come with hard work.

As always, keep on runnin'.
