Last Monday, East traveled to Lenape High School to compete in its final duel meet of the season. In the 1600m run, East took first and third place, with Chris Dinh winning in a time of 4:40 and Scott Zhao taking 3rd in a time of 4:50. In the 800m run, Marcus Phillips took first place in a new PR of 2:01. Also racing well was Andrew Berger, running a 2:10. In the 3200m run, Steve Omari won the race in a time of 10:16, followed by Damon Glatz in 3rd place with a time of 10:25 and Tony Chen taking 4th place with a PR of 10:29.
On Saturday, East competed at the Camden County Championships at Haddon Township High School. To start off the day, Steve Omari set a new PR in the 1600m, running 4:36 and taking 3rd place in the division. Taking 4th place was Damon Glatz in a time of 4:47. In the 800m, Brad Krell set a big PR by running a time of 2:04 and taking 6th place. In the 3200m, Scott Zhao also took 6th place, running a time of 10:40.
