Pennsauken Meet (Special Edition With Bonus Material)

Today, the track team hosted a meet against Pennsauken High School. Cherry Hill East was successful in beating their opponent, with major help from the distance team. In the 1600m, the distance team swept their non-existant rivals with Craig Fishbein grabbing the top spot. Following behind in 2nd was Max Cohler, with Dan Fuentes coming in 3rd. In the 800m, the distance team once again swept, with Dave Berger, Joel Burt, and Jesse Herrman taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. In the 3200m race, Pete Tzeng recieved 1st place, with much of the 1600m runners doubling up, and following in close behind. The final score of the meet was 76-60.

Since we have not posted in a while I thought we might look back at a few important events that have been overlooked:

Firstly, at the Highland (aka Frosh/Soph) meet on April 9th, Dave Berger opened some eyes by running a stunning time of 2:06, in the 800m.

There were a lot of impressive PR's at the Washington Township meet on April 11th. In the 1600m, Joel Burt ran a PR of 4:48, and Chris Dinh ran a PR of 5:15. In the 800m, Craig Fishbein ran a PR of 2:09. In the 3200m, Colin Kosinsky ran a PR of 10:58.

Finally, at the Bridgeton Relays on April 14th, Craig Fishbein ran a respectable time of 3:25 in the 1200m leg of the DMR. Congrats to the team on these impressive races. Get ready for the Woodbury Relays heading our way this Saturday!

I think Herrmann's performance in the 800 should also be noted as a spectacular highlight! Out sprinting the Pennsauken runner by a head and thus ensuring one of the first distance sweeps in a long time!(Reguardless of the circumstances!)
