Today, 7 members of the boy's distance team participated in the 7oth annual Indoor Track State Group Championships at Tom's River. This was the first state meet ever to be held at the new Tom's River track. Fortunately, the meet went by much quicker then usual. In the 1600m race,
Pete Tzeng finished in 4:54, in addition to
Dave Berger finishing another heat in 4:52. In the 800m,
Craig Fishbein ran an impressive PR of 2:10, with
Joel Burt following in 2:12.
Nate Burt also participated in the meet by running the 400m race in a time of 59 seconds. Finally, the 3200m race consisted of
Dan Fuentes running 10:39, and
Max Cohler running 10:52. This event marks the official end of the 2006-07 winter track season, however, a possible time-trial on the East track is scheduled for later this week. Congrats to everyone on a great winter season, but it doesn't end here...get ready for spring!
