Group IV State Meet @ Holmdel

Today Mike and the girls team, along with ~28 other members of both teams traveled to historic Holmdel Park in Holmdel, NJ, for the Group IV State Meet. To start off the day, Mike finished 22nd with a time of 17:12, barely missing a wildcard spot to the Meet of Champions. Next, the girls stunned the field with a very strong 2nd place finish, behind Colts Neck, the favorite, defeating Lenape and defending state champion Roxbury. The highlight of the day may well have been Theresa Cattuna's 4th place finish, in 18:42. After the races both teams had a bbq. Special thanks to Brandon and Danny and everyone else who cooked or brought food. There will be a bus next week to Holmdel for the Meet of Champions, although timing will be discussed later in the week. Also, there will be a 3200m time trial on TUESDAY, so anyone interested should show up. HERE are some pictures from the meet, mostly from the girls race.
