Today both the guys and girls teams participated in the Shore Coaches Invitational at Holmdel Park. The girls won their race handily, with strong performances by the entire team. Theresa Cattuna led from the gun to win the Girls Varsity A race in a time of 19:07. Alaina Chodoff followed soon after in 5th place. Overall, the girls averaged an amazing time of 19:58. In the Boys Varsity A race Mike Levin ran 12 second personal best of 17:07 to finish in 17th place overall. Danny Fuentes followed in 17:48. In the Girls JV A race, Jen Schrank won after pulling away from the pack a little before the two mile

mark. In the Boys JV A race the guys had a 5 man spread of only 10 seconds, which is very difficult on a course like Holmdel. Overall both teams had great days.
Now, everyone should begin to focus on the South Jersey Open, next Saturday at Delsea, the site of the South Jersey Group IV Sectional Meet in early November. Also upcomming are the Camden County Meet, and the Olympic Conference Championship, which are always great races, and good oppurtunities for everyone to run well. For Freshman and Sophomores, there is an upcomming Frosh/Soph race sometime in the next month (sorry I don't have my schedule with me right now). Results for all the races aren't up yet, but you can find them as they are posted online
HERE. Pictures from the meet can be found
HERE. If you have any pictures of your own, post a link in the comments and I will link to them in the post. As always, keep on running. -Mike Levin
