[Meet] Washington Township and Pennsauken

Today, in the first meet of the 2006 season, the Cherry Hill East Cross Country Team opened up the season by defeating Washington Township and Pennsauken. We beat Washinton Township by a narrow margin, 26-29, and swept Pennsauken, 15-50. Mike Levin led the attack in first place with a PR time of 17:19. Dave Berger followed in 4th place with a PR of 17:34. This is an over two minute improvement on his time last year in our first meet. Next we swept places 6, 7, and 8, sealing the win over Washington Township, thanks to Max Cohler, Dan Fuentes, and Colin Kosinski. Congrats to Dan Fuentes for running his first ever sub 18 minute time. With Colin Kosinski's time of 18:07, the gap between our first runner and fifth runner was an impressive 48 seconds, an exciting accomplishment. Pete Tzeng (18:40), Tim Dinh (19:31), Jason Klein (19:42), Kevin Lanni (19:42), and freshman Nate Mohlberg (19:43) followed soon after. While some people may not be satisfied with their race results, this is an exciting way to start a promising season. Keep on running.
