Eastern Trails and T-Shirts!

Today the team took its first attempt at the Eastern Trails run (the picture is an incorrect variation of the run that Mike and Michael did). The results were impressive for the most part. Mike Levin and Michael Adler did that 12.5 mile run in 84 minutes, which comes to about 6:43 mile pace! The second group consisting of Pete, Jeff, Theresa, and Brandon ran a slightly different way (the correct way) to Coach Cieslik's neighboorhood, which was about an 11.5-12 mile run in 80 minutes (about 6:55 mile pace)! The third group consisting of Dave and Alaina was just as impressive, running for about 75 minutes.

The fourth group was as impressive as any group led by Andrew Baeckstrom, Esq. usually is. Not very. They managed not only to run miles over their instructed run, but also to remain out on the run for an extra 30 minutes no doubt aimlessly searching for the school, which everyone else managed to find just fine. Everyone else (including the freshman) completed the run just fine.

The runners are no doubt very tired at this point, from the long run today and the mile interval workout monday, where Mike (Levin) ran his last 2 miles at 5:14 pace! It was overall a great day, but we're not going to get into that now. There is a much more important issue at hand. While at RunningWorks camp, the team learned of the great art of shirt trading. Without a substantial amount of team t-shirts, Mike, Pete, and Brandon were still able to return with a set of Cherokee shirts, and Brandon with a sweet pair of Cherokee shorts. However, the team now needs to make new shirts. While a number of shirts have been created, these are the ones that the team is actually considering. Keep in mind that we may get 5 or 6 different kinds of shirts...

Please feel free to make any of the shirts better, as they are mainly just rough ideas. Or, create your own using the Custom Ink "Lab" creator. Email your ideas to me (sportscenter26@gmail.com)

Keep on Running
