[August 4] Eastern

Tonight at practice, like many others, the coaches attempted to impose another "Barnes and Noble"-esque run on us. I stepped it up though, and suggested that we run Eastern, which would give us the 6+ miles we were looking for. Coach Cieslik then proceeded to ask if "the inmates are running the asylum." Anyway, the coaches split us up into 3 groups. The first group consisted of Brian, Mike Adler, and myself, and the second group consisted of Brandon, Berger, Jeff, and Pascal and Andrew, who then proceeded to fall off the group. The third group consisted of those who were left, including Jarrett, Windex Fuentes and his brother, and a few more that I may be forgetting. The first group ran 6.4 in 43:33, which was a much faster pace then the first group, who ran 7.0 in 48:22. Both were still under 7 min mile pace, which is a good sign. Personally, I felt great, and probably could have pushed the pace more, but we wanted to stay as a group, so it was all good. I think we lost a few miles this week, so I'm planning on doubling tomorrow (Friday), or not taking Saturday off, so I get around 45 for the week. Everyone is running well, and it looks like we will have a good season. Keep on running.
