The Camden County Championship Meet, postponed due to weather, was held last Friday. To start off the day, the freshmen boys swept places two through five with Mike Minion, Gary Hettinger, Michael Wang, and Jack Fiedler. Running the freshmen course, Gary Hettinger and Corey Ansell ran course bests, running 14:36 and 17:21 respectively.
In the JV race, Andrew Berger came back from a PR the day before to win the race with a time of 18:44. East took many of the top places, with Dan Desrochers in 3rd, Tyler Russ in 5th, Zach Presant in 6th, Rob Cooper in 7th, Kevin Walder in 10th, and Eddie Lai in 11th.
In the Varsity race, East won its second straight Camden County title. The team was led by Damon Glatz in 16:48 and Steve Omari in 16:55 for 4th and 5th. East sealed the race by taking eighth through eleventh with Scott Zhao, Chris Dinh, Zach Ianarelli, and DJ Rodriguez. PRs came from Scott Zhao, who broke 17 minutes for the first time with a 16:59, Chris Dinh in 17:09, and Zach Ianarelli in 17:11. East finished with 33 points, with its closest competitor, Haddon Heights, at 64 points.
