Yesterday, the freshmen and sophomores headed to GCC to compete in the Freshmen-Sophomore Meet. East brought 13 medals - 6 by the freshmen and 7 by the sophomores. Running the 2.3 mile freshmen course, East was led by Mike Minion, who finished in 5th place with a time of 14:16. Close behind were Michael Wang in 13th, Gary Hettinger in 16th, and Jack Fiedler in 20th. Also earning medals were Chris Arnold, placing 30th, and Sean Taylor in 47th.
In the sophomore race, on the muddy C Course, Zach Ianarelli led the way with a 17:48 to place 6th. Also in the top 10 were DJ Rodriguez in 8th and Russell Beatty in 10th, running 17:48 and 17:54 respectively. Ricky Zhao in 18th, Ben Helfand in 21st, Brad Krell in 28th, and Adam Green in 49th also medaled.
