Last thursday the Jv and Freshmen teams made the short trip over to Penny Packer Park in Haddonfield. East raced great in both the Jv and Freshmen race's with a total of 6 guys running sub 18 on the very fast course. Leading the way in the JV race was Mike Liachowitz finshing in 9th place with a time of 17:28, a huge PR on that course. Also finshing in the top 25 and claiming medals were Tony Chen in 12th, Damon Glatz in 23rd and Josh Elkin in 24th all running sub 17:50.
The freshmen race saw 5 guys run sub 19 and 6 medals won. Leading the way was Daniel Rodriguez who took 1st overall in the race with a great time of 17:59. Close behind was Zackary Ianarelli in 4th place with a time of 18:08. Tyler Russ led the next east group across line finshing in 9th, followed closely by Russell Beatty and Ben Helfand in 10th and 11th place. Capping off the medas was Rob Cooper in 15th place in a time of 19:11.
Great races by everyone and now hopfully your starting to set your eyes on making Varsity. Our next meet is Sectionals on Saturday November 8th at Delsea high school. The Bus leaves and 9 and every one is encouraged to go and support the team and get a chance to see where you'll be racing next year.
